Alarm with automatic recipient selection based on the location of the initiator

Keystroke

Hold CTRL + F8 for at least 1 second.

Recipient

All computers which are assigned as a recipient of the initiator.

Setup effort

Setting up the PC locations (via the room management). Setting up the initiator-to-recipient-locations (via the alarm circle management). Optional: Setting up display name to real name relations (Manage display names)

15 minutes

Goal

This alarm will send out notifications to the recipients based on the location of the initiator, e.g. adjacent rooms. No alarm will be shown at the location of the initiator in order to not create more trouble. In the alarm message the location of the initiator will be shown dynamically. The Name of the initiator can also be display if needed.

Optional after the activation:

The recipient can confirm the alarm and help or just confirm the they received the alarm. The initiator of the alarm will receive a response to his alarm which can be adjusted to your needs. This response can for example show the number of recipients as well as the possibility to send out an all clear to the recipients of the alarm.
