This chapter refers to the first steps after you have downloaded and installed Cordaware bestinformed® for the first time.

An Infoclient is needed on every machine in order to initiate or receive an alarm. The Infoclient and Infoserver have already been installed on your current system via the bestinformed.exe.

Additional Infoclients have to be installed for all additional machines which you want to receive and initiate alarms with.

For the Infoclient we provide an additional installer which can be found in the Cordaware bestinformed All-in-One installation manual.

Please note that you need at least two Infoclients for a successful realization of the following location based alarm concept.

Installation process: Infoclient

Please execute and follow the steps of the installer after you have downloaded it.

At first you will be asked to submit the installation path of the Infoclient. Afterwards enter the Address of the computer or server on which you have installed the Infoserver on. This is a requirement for sending and receiving alarms on the Infoclient.

As long as you didn't change the Infoserver port you can continue the installation with the port 8431.

Please follow the installation routine until the software is installed successfully.

The Infoclient will automatically connect to the Infoserver after a successful installation.

As soon as a connection with the server exists and the Alarm App has already been opened once and sample data has been generated, the alarming is active, however, without further configurations alarms would now always be displayed at all clients.

Repeat this process for every machine on which you want to send out and receive alerts.
