For the transfer of your data e. g. Templates, ScriptVars or Infos from your Cordaware bestinformed 5 installation to Cordaware bestinformed 6 you can use the migration assistant.

At first, stop the service of your Cordaware bestinformed 5 installation.
After you have stopped the services it is recommended, to move the Data folder of your Cordaware bestinformed 5 installation to the server on which you have installed Cordaware bestinformed 6 |
Now run the Cordaware5to6.exe as administrator.

The Cordaware5to6.exe can be found in the installation directory of Cordaware bestinformed 6 after the installation. |
Then fill in the following fields:
best_data Username:
Fill in the user name for the admin of the database server. The default name is admin.
best_data Password:
Fill in the password for the admin user of the database server. The default password is bestinformed.
best_data URL:
Here you need to fill in the URL of the Cordaware bestinformed 6 database.

If you installed all components (database, infoserver, web interface) on the same server, the URL of the database matches the URL of your webinterface. The only difference is the Port 5984 which is used for the database.

Data Folder:
Fill in the path of the data folder of your Cordaware bestinformed 5 installation. (e. g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cordaware\Infoband\Data)
With a click on Start you can initiate the migration.
Now the data will be transferred to the Cordaware bestinformed 6 server.
