The database used in Cordaware bestinformed 6 is the document-oriented database CouchDB from Apache.

 

 

Securing the database by replication:

With the database included in Cordaware bestinformed, a replication function is available, which allows you to replicate your database with other database servers. For more information on replicating with other database servers, please refer to the Cluster chapter.

 

 

Backing up the database at the file level:

Furthermore, the database can also be backed up at the file level while it is running. To do this, proceed as follows:

 

In the installation directory of Cordaware bestinformed (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Cordaware") you will find the folder best_data. Inside this folder you will find the data folder.

To secure the database, you can copy the data folder to a drive of your choice while the program is running. Inside the data folder you will find all your templates / groups / status info / filters / etc..
