For the software Cordaware bestinformed we provide two separated installation routines: the Cordaware bestinformed Server, which consists out of four components (the web interface , database, the Infoserver and the Infoclient) , and the Cordaware bestinformed Infoclient , which will be installed on end user devices.
Infoserver installation
Download the installation file of the Cordaware bestinformed server components (web interface, database, Infoserver and Infoclient). The Cordaware bestinformed Infoclient is also included in this installation file. It is not necessary to install the client on the physical server with the Cordaware bestinformed server components.
Install the Cordaware bestinformed server by executing the downloaded file.
Please note:
We advise you to install Cordaware bestinformed on a server operating system!
Errors can occur while using the "quick start" settings after the installation on a windows client operating system. Due to these settings sockets may not be closed properly and result in your infoclients not receiving infos even if they are connected to the infoserver. |

While running the installer please make sure that you select all components (web interface, database, Infoserver and Infoclient)
During the installation you additionally have the opportunity to install the Cordaware5to6.exe. With this tool you can migrate your data from an existing Cordaware bestinformed 5 installation to Cordaware bestinformed 6. |
Open the ports 8000 and 8431 in the firewall of the operating system. These ports are required for the access to the web interface (8000) and the connection of the Cordaware bestinformed Infoclient to the Cordaware bestinformed Server (8431).
After these steps the Cordaware bestinformed Server is available for usage.
Infoclient installation
During the installation of the All-in-One Setup you have already installed an Infoclient on your system. |
Execute the installation routine on the user devices, which should receive the Infoclient.
Please note: The installation has to be initiated with administrative permissions. |
While proceeding the installation you will be asked for the server address and the port. Please enter the following information:
Serveraddress: The address of the server, where the Cordaware bestinformed Server has been installed.
Port: 8431
The Infoclient will connect itself automatically to the Infoserver.
