The structure of the app Alarm (Alarm -> Alarm) is based on a locationbased alerting. With this concept every computer (distinguished through their computer name) is assigned to a room (room assignment). Afterwards you decide which room sends alerts to other rooms when an alarm is initiated (alarm circles).

Please note:

When using the location based alarms it's recommended to use the computer names for the localization. If the computers in your company can't be distinguished by their computer names it is also possible to use the username or Dynamic Infoclient Values.

Another feature of the Cordaware bestinformed Alarm Edition is the conversion of login names to real names in the alarm text. For this you can manually provide a real name to every login name in order to identify the initiator of an alarm even better. This step is optional and has no impact on the functionality or the addressing of the alarm but it helps with the identification of the initiator.

In order to set up the location based alerting please open the app Alarm (Alarm -> Alarm). Afterwards follow the steps in the following chapters.
