CVE-2025-0425 is fixed with Cordaware bestinformed Infoclient version 6.3.7.0. |
New Infoclient functions
•Infos and StatusInfos can now be read out by the operating system's own output. In combination with UseAccessible = true, information sent in the Infogrid is now also read out to you when it comes into focus or is interacted with manually.
•A new setting has been added that allows you to activate or deactivate the voice output function. Use the value "true" for this setting so that your Infos and StatusInfos can be read aloud. If you do not want your messages to be read out loud by your system, you can set the value to "false".
oVoiceUse = true / false (default: true)
•A new setting has been added that allows you to select the operating system's own voice that will be used to read out your messages. When specifying the value, a part of the character string is sufficient to select the desired voice, if several voices match the substring, the first result will be used. By default, your pre-installed voice in the language of your operating system is used.
oVoiceName = English / David / Microsoft David Desktop - English (United States) / German / Hedda / Microsoft Hedda Desktop - German (default: empty value)
|
Please note that you must install additional voices at operating system level yourself before you can use a voice. In addition, you can only use voices that have the suffix "Desktop" in the Windows settings in Accessibility > Voice output, such as "Microsoft David Desktop - English (United States)". |
•A new setting has been added which, in combination with UseAccessible = true, allows you to have the author of the Info read out in the voice output. Use the value “true” for this setting so that the user is read aloud. Otherwise, you can set the value to “false” if you only want the message itself to be read out.
oVoiceReadUser = true / false (default: false)
•A new setting has been added which, in combination with UseAccessible = true, allows you to read out details about an Info in the Infogrid when it is clicked on by your user. Use the value “true” for this setting so that details such as the start or end time of the Info are read out when they are selected. If only the messages themselves are to be included in the voice output, set the value here to “false”.
oVoiceReadInfoDetails = true / false (default: true)
•A new setting has been added which, in combination with UseAccessible = true, allows you to additionally read out the Info count in your Infogrid. Use the value “true” for this setting so that at the end of your read-out Ínfo, the number of messages from all the Info received in this session is also read aloud, for example: “Info 1 of 13”. If this output is not relevant, you can deactivate it with the value “false”.
oVoiceReadInfosCount = true / false (default: true)
•A new setting has been added that allows you to specify whether a currently read-out Info should be canceled or not if a new Info arrives during output. Use the value “true” for this setting if the new incoming Info has absolute priority and the output of the current Info should be canceled. If the current Info is to be read out until the end and the new incoming Info is to be played afterwards, you can use the value “false”.
oVoicePurgeBefore = true / false (default: true)
•In the Infoclient quick configuration, the address and port fields are now permanently disabled to prevent your users from accidentally connecting away from your Infoserver
